this year has been quite a ride. especially in the beginning and towards the end of it. i have also decided that i have some new favourite words.

as you might have remembered, i had my ACL reconstruction on the 5th of January this year. that was a HUGE step considering i took almost 2 years to decide on going ahead with the procedure. there were so many things to think through.

recovery was painful and long. i had to be away from school for a whole term. those were trying times. i missed my friends and not too many came to visit. i was thankful for aqilah who was always there to help me with anything. she was my personal nurse.

thanks to the support of my friends and colleagues, i attended physio quite regularly. it was tiring but it was one of the things i look forward to. i can safely say that now, i can play quite ok.

oh yeah! dr andy wee was the surgeon who did the reconstruction. thankfully (LOL) he had to go to canada. dr jimmy chin then, is my doctor. this was the HIGHLIGHT of the year. im sure u have read the post about him. he makes me gush. =)) cant wait to see him again. 18 more days! :)

another good thing was, when i received the yearly performance bonus, i was still stuck at home. i happily online shopped and kept calling for food.

soccerwise, i was being 'promoted' to being the manager. i had to handle all registrations and any admin work. i had to go to the FAS office quite often. one time, i even bumped into raddy avramovich. he smiled at me! =) anyway being the manager was not easy but that was the only thing i could do because i was not able to play. it didnt feel good sitting at the bench knowing that you cannot do anything about the game. being out though, made me look at things from the other way. from the outside in.
