Right now, im watching Wallabies vs Springboks. Its the Rugby World Cup 2011 quarter finals. Australia is leading 8-3. Im supporting the underdogs, just because.
Other than the penalty kick and the touch down, i dont understand anything else.
This is the 2nd match im watching. I'll need Elly or James to explain the game. Would not want Nik to do it. I bet i will not understand and she will just be annoyed.
And yesterday, i went to East Coast Park, the open field near carpark E2. My brother was playing for 2 teams in the SPS(singapore paintball series) Premier Tournament. In the corporate div, he's playing for Night Safari. Nocturnals. In the open divsion, he's playing for Red Dynasty.
Ive never understood paintball. But i gather, you need to shoot all of the opponents and try your darnest Not to get shot. They were abt 6 referees or even 8. Their main job (from what i observed) was to mke sure that, if a player got shot, the player would be sent out. An the referee would scream:
1) OUT!!
2) Player! You're out! Put your hand on your head!!
Also, once your opponents are all out, you're supposed to take the opponent's flag and bring it back to your base.
According to my bro, who has been playing in this tournament for years, he's the most wanted player. So, opponents would want to kill (shoot) him first.
He got shot in the face/mask a few times. And when he tried to slide to the other bunker, he landed on his Chin! OUCH!
Once i roughly got the game, it was fun. We were standing about 1m away from the netting and yet we got splattered with paint!
We stayed watching the games till 4pm. And then we walked slowly all the way to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at carpark C1.
After all that, we took 36 to Suntec to go to the Esplanade Exchange. The Circle Line was opened yesterday. So we decided to check it out. Before eating dinner at Banquet we went to the Car Club showroom.
Before sleeping, i iced my knees.
What a saturday!
