Had an appointment with Dr Jimmy earlier today. I was a little nervous because I missed a physio session last week and I thought Doc was going to grill me about it. When I entered his office, he was still doing his notes on the previous patient. I sat there looking at the blinds for a whole 20 seconds.

Finally he looked up, before looking down again at my file. Asked me if I had any recent pain issues. Told him about my knee pain when I attempted jogging. He concluded that it was probably because of the hard surface.

Then he got me to squat and even a duck walk! That wasn't fun. After which he got me lying on the examining table. Bent and prodded my knees and he said my graft was doing well.

Asked me what sport do I play and asked if I wanted to go back to it. He said that if I make it to the gym to do weight training for 3 times a week, I should be able to go back to the field after 2 months. At least 2 months he said, maybe 3 to 4 months. Went on to say that I will still need to continue my work outs before I will be tested on my balance, control and agility.

Next he asked if I required a letter for my coach to explain my situation. I said that that would not be necessary. In fact I told him that it was actually my team mates who wanted me back soon. He said for them to meet him. HAHA. Right!

He wanted to tell me that story about that Italian soccer player who managed to get better within 3 months. Said that he told me the last time we met. But he told anyways.

Lastly he asked me which team I supported. Arsenal, Liverpool? I muttered, Man Utd, shyly. He said that was fine. Since he was wearing a Barca tie, I asked his opinion on the upcoming Champs League finals. He went on saying on how he used to support Man Utd but as he grew, he changed his mind. In conclusion he predicted that Barcelona will win.

I will be seeing him again in July! =))
