spent most of yesterday at SGH. oj had her spinal check up. after d doc assessed her x-rays, d doc proposed for her to have a surgery.
12th sept, aqilah's gona go under the knife to have titanium screws and rods permanently on her spine. but b4 tt, she's gona go for testing on the 4th. and den, if everything is ok. she will be warded on d 11th. n den shes gona stay in the hospt for d next 6 to 7 days.
im so scared on how shes gona react on those both days. she roughly noes tt shes gona hv metal things in her. but i dun tink she noes the whole picture.
wen dr guo mentioned the op, ibu broke dwn. i was tryin so hard to b brave and consoled ibu. we den asked d doc some qns. cost, how long it'l take and such. but i forgot to ask the AFTER EFFECTS.
luckily enuf, her testing n d day tt she'l b warded, falls on thursday. my off day. i can go send her.
i gues il jus b talkin to oj abt it almost everyday so she gets ready for it. tink she needs it.

despite the rain, the match went on.
was a little nervous bcos of my foot n back injury, of d pitch and d opponents.
i kept drifting to the sides. i MUST NOT do tt. n i missed a header too.
dang.
EVERYONE did great. but there's still so much more tt we can do as a team. we can definitely soar higher, do greater things. i can feel it.
final score was 4 nil. 2 reena, 2 nani.

Sporting Westlake currently sits on top of the league table. with the most points and also the most goal difference.
unfortunately, we are also the team that has the most number of yellow card.he was saying if d yellow card was necessary, it was ok. but if it was for a stupid offence, its totally not fine.
when we play soccer its not jus abt scoring goals, how many we concede, how we play, how we react to referees and opponents etc..

so Pesta Sukan 2008 is over. Sporting Westlake managed to get to the quarters. And tt was it. We were 2nd in our group therefore we had to meet Police FC. We lost to them 1-0.
I injured my tail bone. Against the SAS 'C' team, tink it was a 50-50 ball. But she got the better of me, so i fell and landed on my butt. Now the part in between my butt cheeks hurt so much when im trying to get up from a seat or bend or squat. I cudnt lie down on my back when slpin last nite cos there's pressure on the injured part, had to slp stomach down instead.. Hope the pain will go away soon, cos its jus not comfy.
Shid played too, for Yishun United. Tink she did quite well for some one who hasnt kicked a ball for more than a year. Her team managed not to be last in their group.
Anyway, yesterday just shows how much team work and respect this team has (or rather, the lack of it). I shall not comment any further because it is a waste of time. No one in the team reads this.
Although i want to say a big thank you to the coaches who guided us through the 5 (14min) matches and the officials who helped out. U guys noe who u r. THANK YOU.

i thought my bday celebrations ended on the eighth. tt was d nite where the colleagues treated me to sakura buffet.
so on monday night, grace called sayin she wanted to come over to take the advanced theory book from me. runni called askin for directions frm bkt pnjg to my place. i thot they wanted to jus hang out at my place. I THOT WRONG.
7plus, grace called me to come down. me, thinkin grace was shy to come up on her own.. went down. right dere at the staircase lobby, they threw flour and water at me.
tink its my first time getting 'sabo-ed' on my bday. ive hated such things, n stil hated it. hah!
after they've finished their packet of flour, i called shidah out to bring me a bucket of water and a broom to wash the area. oh, and shidah screamed when she saw me all white cos i was wearing her polo t and slippers!
i just wana shout out a big thank you to grace and runni who never fail to surprise me, be it on my bday, a wk aftr, or any other day. its been so long (back in those days when i was thinner, runn had long hair and grace wears a skirt to school!!) that we've been frens, and despite our busy schedules u guys always give me a sudden call or sms to ask how im doing n such.

SPORTING WESTLAKE beats U-19, 6-2
yesterday's night match was held at serangoon stadium. reena scored 5 and shidah lam scored 1.
the match was definitely not a walk in the park. their youngsters were really gd aerially, and personally, i tink dey won d midfield battle.
their no 10 and 16 were constantly haunting me and my defenders.
the upfront ppl did a GREAT job! their interchanging passes were superb la. nani is definitely the deserving captain.
umai ALMOST scored!
hope we continue to work together as a team, play harder and try our bestest to win all the matches.

this SUNDAY, the 17th of August @ 9am onwards is the Annual Pesta Sukan at Singapore American School. 7 aside format. if i rmb correctly its like 5mins each half. last year we ended up fourth! n the year before we were CHAMPIONS. it was the one at jalan besar. n u noe wat?? all these years im in SWFC, cj never turns up for Pesta Sukan. he ALWAYS hv sumtin on, on tt day.
but cjo has always been ard for us, for d past 2 yrs! =)
ok i wana go lie dwn n watch tv now. my tummy stil feels uncomfy. got diarrhoea last nite and earlier today. not sure if its cos of d food i ate last nite or cos of the ball that struck me ard d womb area. il c if i mke it to d doctor's later.
to those younger ppl who are having their prelims this week, all the best.

i didnt hv my usual outdoors class so i was at jelita in d mrng. left wrk early for rp.
i was made captain for d match by cm. it was nerve-wrecking initially, but i got over abt the tightness on my right arm. tink my defence was gd. personally i tink tt my strikers cud hv done abit better. surprise of d game, was umaira scoring! final score was 8-0. big thnx to kak yam, zwan, shid, zaidah, zul, raihan, amar, grace, runni, namira and whoever who was dere to support sporting westlake! here are some pix!

3rd august
the sunday tt finally came. SINGFEST! woke up late, n took our time to get ready. we reached dhoby ghaut early and we got to noe frm shid's fren tt gates r not open. so we went to carrefour to get some sushi and several bottles of water. hopped on to d shuttle bus, climbed up flights n flights of stairs n we were greeted by a one kilometre queue.
it was only aftr 15mins tt we were IN the compounds!! made our way to the main stage area and GOSH dere were hundreds of ppl sprawled all over. we tried to mke our way forward but to no avail.
anw, aftr meetin shid's fren, she managed to push us through the crowd shamelessly and den we were standing approximately TEN METRES from the stage! we saw abit of Jamie Scott and The Band. next up was One Republic! ryan tedder was jus rockin d stage! d main guitarist and the bassist was cool also la! they performed Apologise last.
Next was Panic At The Disco!! all of dem were as cute as buttons! brandon was so energetic and d guitarist was very frenly warming the crowd up. amazing how i rmbd most of their songs cos shid or bro dl their songs a couple of yrs bck.. so yeah, i was singing along loudly while shidah jumped n screamed her throat out.
Jason Mraz was incredible.... he's band was wicked... n dere was one time he said, "kamsahamida(or sumtin like tt)!" shid found out tt he was frm korea on a tour. anw! i specially liked d part where he managed to incorporate oasis's, 'don't look back in anger' in one of his songs. he worked d crowd up with 'the dynamo of volition', the high fives, the down lows and the high tenssssss! BEST LA SEHHH! omg.
den it was d levis fashion show. some ppl break dancing and some models tryin to dance. half naked hot bods. yes, i was entertained. ahaha.
Mr Rick Astley was next. he was wearing a suit, a shirt and tie with adidas sneakers! hot or hot?? (pun intended) i duno like most of d songs, but i sang along anw cos he was gd looking la! panties and a sweat soaked bra was thrown at d old guy. hahah.
the setting up for d next act took soo long la. Pussy Cat Dolls! they were THE BOMB. gosh, dey rili mke me interested in signing up for dance classes or sumtin. they are freakin fit la ok. its more like a very intense aerobic workout for every song. everyone sang and danced along!! im a like a REBORN PCD FAN NOW!! i love it whenever they play "when i grow up" on the radios.
by the time dey were setting up for Alicia Keys, fatigue set in. i got pins and needles on the soles of my feet. her performance was the longest and i didnt enjoyed it. cos i was so so so so tired. shid found an unopened but dirty bottle water on d floor and she drank from it! i asked her if she wanted to leave but she stil wanted to stay. and den wen our watches was 00:00.
4th august
she screamed HAPPY BIRTHDAY in my ear drums! hahhaha. she told some girls behind us tt it was my bday and dey wished me too. checked my hp and dere were bday msgs! a few minutes, while Alicia Keys were singing, Ibu, CM n Dila called me to sing a bday song! hahha. kecoh cat.
half past 12, i cudnt take it anymore, despite protests frm shid, i told we HAD TO leave. we made our way to the toilet. and peeeeeed so much. hahah.. went out and walked our way down to PS to get a cab. reached home close to 1.
slept and woke up and went to work. reached centre a lil late. sue alrdi left. was on d comp before goin in to d studio. to my surprise, sue left a bday msg on d whiteboard and my presents on d little green chairs!! MANGO CAKE FROM BENGAWAN SOLO AND A GREEN FRED PERRY BOWLER BAG!! gosh. the day was short. went back home feelin happy.
oh, ofcos my whole body was aching...

HAPPY AUGUST 2008! its alrdi d eighth month of d year. gosh, is time flying so fast or wat?
tmr is the match against Republic Polytechnic! i cant wait. yeay! 5pm ok, be there.
3rd august, MOST PROBABLY me n shid wil b goin to singfest. haha.
